New Ads Airing this Week
Twenty-Seven days remain until Election Day and we’re airing two exciting new ads this week featuring marriage supporters from around the state.
Stacey Fitts of Pittsfield, ME was featured in our ad that first aired yesterday. Stacey has publicly announced his support for marriage on several occasions. In the ad, he talks about why, as a Republican, he supports marriage for ALL Maine families. He voted against marriage for same-sex couples in 2009, but, since then, he’s talked with the people in his life and has changed is mind.
“I don’t believe the government should be able to tell anyone who they can love, or who they can marry,” said Stacey.
Today was the debut of a new ad featuring Cathy and Phil Curtis of Biddeford who talk about what marriage means to them and why they want ALL of their children to have the freedom to marry.
“When we were young, we never dreamed about having a civil union, or signing a piece of paper, we wanted to be married,” said Cathy. "I want our Katie to be able to have what we have, the joy and security of marriage," said Phil.
